Mr. Printer, By inserting the following lines, if you can
induce the ladies to be a little more communicative, it is
presumed you would merit the thanks of every spruce widower
at least, as well as his who is
[signed] A Batchelor.
TO THE LADIES.--ON THE PRESENT FASHION OF NOT DRESSING THEIR
HEADS.
With hair so long, so land, so sleek,
Which not a comb composes,
Why do you hide your brow and cheek,
And hardly spare your noses?
Say, ye, in whom each worth appears,
Adorn'd by all the Graces,
What makes you thus, my pretty dears,
Asham'd to show your faces?
